What does Targex mean?

Targex is a play-on-words type situation where the original name of the website didn't fit what we were trying to do,
which was to have the name incorporate the owners/editors of the site, respectfully. It was ultimately a combination
of 'tar' and 'gex', derived from 'Targa' and 'Ghecko'.

When was Targex created, and how?

September 1st, 2009 marked the release day of a prototype website created by Targa, to try to bring the XGen
community closer together. This proved to be a very successful bid at making a mark in the XGen nation. Realizing
that an arising hangout couldn't be managed by himself, he requested support from a few friends, which in turn
brought forth the common hierarchy within Targex. With further additions to the TG team, expanding was necessary. www.targex.tk evolved into many different site layouts and loyal members and staff followed. Expansion was rapidly becoming an everyday thing, new parts of the site seemed to be added every week. Roughly mid-2010, things abruptly
seemed to come to a stop for the community. Disagreements, and mixed ideas seemed almost day-to-day in 2010, but
little was noted about them. Things seemed to escalate too much, when Targa, the main founder, stepped down from
his position and left the striving community. Not too long after, Ghecko stepped down as well. Few remained such as
Ryan and Alpha, which proved vital, because they sustained Targex until Targa returned and regained his position
after a lengthy break. The Targex you see today isn't new, it's a mark on XGen history that will not be forgotten.

Who is the team here at Targex.org?

Here at Targex, we have a very talented team. We've got Targa, the resident Stick Arena Moderator that everyone loves
(or at least seems to). Ryan, who we're very lucky to have, is our code monkey that can do pretty much anything for
us. Alpha, one of our most trusted members; even though his gaming skills are not the greatest. And last but not
least: Greg. He can be on Xbox and mod the chat... at the same time.
